Two suspected bank robbers were on Monday killed by security forces in Lavington, Nairobi.
The gangsters, who are suspected to have robbed a bank earlier in the day, abandoned their getaway vehicle after crashing into a wall, fled on foot and entered a house in Mzima Springs and engaged police in a shootout.
One of suspects was killed, with the other holed up in the house until the GSU RECCE Squad arrived and, after a heavy gunfight, killed the remaining gangster.
The Muthangari OCS was injured in the initial gunfight and was rushed to hospital.
